The Battleships of each Force from AW2.
Battleships are a Naval Unit. To date they have appeared in every Advance Wars game, and every Nintendo Wars game except Game Boy Wars 3. They are one of the most powerful Naval Units in the game as well as being one of the few which attacks indirectly. They're devastating to Missile Boats and can even wreak havoc upon Land Units. Cruisers and Submarines can do decent damage to them, assuming they can get next to them. Missile Boats and most Land Units are relatively weak against them, though. In Advance Wars: Days of Ruin, these are the only indirect unit that can move and fire on the same turn.

The Yellow Comet battleship resembles the Japaneese Yamato-class battleship, the heaviest battleship ever built .
The Orange Star battleship resembles the American Nevada Class Battleship.
The Blue Moon battleship resembles the never completed Russian Sovetsky Soyuz Class Battleship, which would probably be the second most heaviest battleship built
The Green Earth battleship is based off of the German navy's Bismarck during WWII, the largest German battleship build at the time.
