A land unit is any unit which travels on the ground. There are many kinds of land units, ranging from Infantry, to Neotanks to Artillery. Land units are affected by terrain, which often slows them down, or even stops them completely. Although it can hinder them, land units do receive defensive cover from terrain.
Tanks and Mechs have a secondary weapon (a machine gun) that they use on Infantry and Helicopters or whenever they run out of ammo. Machine guns can't be used on high-flying air units (such as Fighters and Bombers) or on naval units.
Land units are produced at Bases.
