Notes

War Tanks are extremely difficult to destroy as most units won't deal much damage. On a high defence terrian tile, it may become even more difficult.

In Dual Strike, it is incredibly easy to at least render useless a Mega Tank by sacrificing cheap Recon Units until it runs out of all three shells, then surround it with stronger units such as Tanks who will take minimal damage from the machine guns. Therefore, in Dual Strike Mega Tanks are best when babysat by an APC or on the defensive.

In Days of Ruin, Anti-Tank is the best ground unit to wreck these with ease, not only because it's an indirect but it can counterattack against it.
